When choosing a garment to decorate, our customers are continuously asking “What is the difference between cotton and polyester, and what should I choose?” To tell the truth, have you ever felt confused about these fabrics? Do you clearly know their differences? Here comes good news, today I’m glad to share different materials of t-shirts with you, hopefully being able to help.<\/p>\n

Cotton<\/strong>
\nUtilized more than any other natural fiber in the world, cotton<\/a><\/strong> is a convenient, wash and wear fabric used in most t-shirts. Based on its natural composition and manufacturing process, it can control moisture, insulate, and provide hypoallergenic comfort. While used for making soft, breathable tees, it\u2019s incredibly durable when wet–both a pro and con. Fine brushes are used to eliminate short strands and straighten fibers, making the fabric stronger, softer, and smoother. Besides, premium cotton also consists of many kinds, such as Egyptian cotton<\/strong>, Pima cotton<\/strong>, Supima cotton<\/strong>, Ringspun cotton<\/strong> and Mercerized cotton<\/strong>, each providing you various feelings.<\/p>\n

\nEven though polyester is not a natural product, it is manufactured by mixing different chemicals together which creates a strong and durable fiber. In the garment industry there is not another cost effective fiber available that can make a garment as durable as polyester can. Polyester<\/a><\/strong> is also more resistant to shrinkage than cotton, but it is not breathable.<\/p>\n

Many sports teams use 50\/50 cotton and polyester blend because of the durability and breathability of the fabric. Based on personal preference and a few facts, you can decide what is best for your needs.<\/p>\n
